Be

Be prepared
When you pray
That in Him
You will stay
With truth
Be secure
In God’s eye
Remain pure
Moving firm
In His peace
In faith
Find relief
Knowing that
You are free
May Word and Spirit
Be your speech
Keep in Him
All the day
As for all
Things you pray

(Ephesians 6:10-20)

All I Can Do

All I can do
Is pray out my heart;
Pain is so strong
And life is so hard.

I can’t seem to reach
Those that I love;
All I can do
Is lift them above.

Lift up my children
So far away.
Please draw them near,
Dear Lord, I pray.

All I can do
Is keep them in prayer;
And know they’ll be safe
In Your tender care.

When You Pray

(part of my E100 poem series)

Matthew 6:5-7:29

When You pray,
Come in secret.
Let it be
You and Me.

When you pray,
Keep on asking.
Trust in Me.
You will see.

When you pray
In thanksgiving
Give out free
What you receive

When you pray,
Keep on seeking.
I will meet
Every need.

When you pray,
I will be there.
It will be
You and Me.

Listen!

Listen!
Do you hear it?
The strength of a people
In the midst of their weakness,
Heard in their music,
Heard in their prayer.

Esther – The Power of Prayer

Before I go
Before my king
I will go
Before my King.

Pray for me,
I will pray as well,
And wait for what
The Lord will tell.

Three Days of Darkness

(Part of my E100 poem series)

Acts 9:1-31

Three days of darkness,
While light burned his soul.
Three days of prayer,
While the Lord made him whole.

Three days of waiting,
While God revealed His plan.
Three days of learning
The touch of His hand.

Paul’s Prayers

(Part of my E100 series of poems)

Colossians 1:1-32

We pray
With thanks for you
We pray
Wisdom for you
We pray
You know His will
We pray
You continue still
We pray
His strength for you
We pray
Patience for you
We pray
His power for you
We pray
You endure all things
We pray
For your joyful thanks
We pray
Always
We pray

May the Scales Fall

May the scales fall
From our hearts
From our eyes

May the light burn
Out the hate
Out the lies

May the walls break
In our world
In our lives

May our minds
Be renewed

May our wills
Be transformed

May our days
Be made right

May we walk
With Your sight

For Your glory
For Your honor

Now and always
May we be yours

Daddy and King

The child before the throne
Looks in awe upon the King

Sees the lightning flash
Hears the angels sing

Comes in humble love
To climb upon His knee

Daddy, I love You
Daddy, You love me

Hold me in Your arms
Hear my heartfelt plea

Keep my awe alive
My Daddy and my King
