Joseph Learned

Joseph learned
To submit
To God’s plans,
To God’s will.

Joseph learned
To listen,
To be patient,
To be still.

Joseph learned
To work hard,
To be faithful,
To be pure.

Joseph learned
To trust God,
To be heard,
To be sure.

Our church is currently going through Genesis and are focusing on Joseph in particular, so I thought I’d share this as it seemed to fit. What have you learned from Joseph?

I learned that Joseph saw through the evil treatment of his brothers and saw instead God’s plan for his life unfolding. This helped him to trust God completely while in prison and falsely accused. It also helped him to forgive his brothers from a whole heart. Somewhat late in my own trials, I have finally figured out that Gods plans will never be thwarted by others and also that He is not surprised by our difficult circumstances. Keeping our eyes on Him will help to keep us strong in faith and love while all around the storm is raging.
