Counting Down

Once they were twelve
Now one is gone
And one’s been left behind

When ten go down
Out of their land
Into a foreign place

To save their lives
They must buy grain
But that’s not what they find

Accusations fall
Upon their heads
Are they to be disgraced?

One chance they have
To show their truth
Bring back the youngest one

With heavy hearts
And bags of grain
They start their journey home

Now nine return
To face their clan
What is this God has done?

Inside their hearts
The brothers know
The fault, it is their own.
